Convergence is “ different varieties melting to unite or made indistinguishable from each other”.
In the convergence society we want, technology takes a role of delivering diverse range of voices that leave no one left behind and functions as a social safety net.
The shadow of high-tech, hyper-connected era lies in the growing size of digitally isolated social class who cannot adapt and take advantage of the technological changes.
This leads to various social conflicts and the unit technology and policies alone cannot solve this problem.
Therefore, for everyone to engage as a member of society, diverse engagement policies and support are urgently needed to increase educational benefits, create new jobs to improve the quality of life, and to help people get away from the vulnerable social group.
Technology inclusion creates an overall social environment so that all citizens can participate in digital society and improve their quality of life in addition to improving the accessibility of vulnerable groups.
Thus, the Good Technology Convergence Society is established to conduct policy research and proposal, legislative activities, education, employment and start-up support so that vulnerable people can get new opportunities through convergence technology and engage in active social economic activities.
